*Autistic ABA trauma: JayJay educates Aucademy's Chloe*
TRIGGER WARNING: Discussion on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and trauma.

In this session, JayJay educates Chloe on their experience of ABA as a non-speaking child and the trauma it caused them. JayJay also discusses whether the presumed benefits of putting an Autistic child through behavioural based "early interventions" outweigh the very traumatic costs, which includes distance from their parents who put them through it. We also discuss how any method of making Autistic people appear "normal" does more harm than good. We also discuss what might be useful to help us be authentic and supported instead.
