(22 Nov 1994) Muslim forces praised NATO on Tuesday (22/11) for Monday's air
strike against Udbina, a Serb airfield in Croatia. Soldiers in the
Muslim frontline towns of Bugojno and Travnik said the attacks
should have taken place earlier and that they hoped similiar ones
will follow. A man in Travnik -- a city targeted many times by
Serb artillery -- said he hoped the attack was "the start of
bigger action that will destroy the Serbian army".A handful of
British soldiers keep daily watch on the battle raging around
Dorni Vakuf, but last week, they themselves came under attack from
several rounds of artillery fire. The UN observation post is just
a few hundred metres from the frontline and within close range of
Serb guns.
