Commentary On This Video:

As an admirer of video game music, I've respected this list from the first time I viewed it. I concede, however, that it is not perfect. It does largely focus on more mainstream games released on mainstream consoles. Even then, some of the choices might be seen as controversial.

Naturally, any list of this nature has the potential to fuel a series of furious fanboy rampages. Yes, there are a number of great soundtracks that are not included here. And, yes, there might be a few games which should not be as high up as they are. However, you should not consider this list to be *the final word* (and why would you?!). This is merely a list of 20 game soundtracks that are a good place to start listening if you're interested in video game music.

(Note: 'Soundtracks' is misspelled 'Sountracks' at the beginning of the video. An unfortunate typo.)
