* Daniel Lévi (26 August 1961 – 6 August 2022) was a French singer-songwriter, composer & pianist.
Lévi was born in Constantine, French Algeria into a Jewish family. He spent his childhood in Lyon, where he was preparing for his job as a musician studying piano for a decade at the conservatory in the city.
In 1983, he composed & recorded his 1st album entitled Cocktail. In 1991, he took part in the musical produced by Catherine Lara Sand et les Romantiques, on the stage of the Chatelet in which he portrayed Alfred de Musset & Frédéric Chopin. In 1993, he was hired by Disney Studios to record a duet with Karine Costa, the song of the animated feature Aladdin : Ce Rêve bleu. In 1996, AB studios opened their doors to record his 2nd album Entre parenthèses which was entirely composed by him.
Then in 2000, he played the role of Moses in Élie Chouraqui & Pascal Obispo's musical Les Dix Commandements. He had huge success with the hit single "L'Envie d'aimer". After the triumph of the musical, Lévi decided to begin again to compose. In 2005, his 4th album Le Cœur ouvert was produced in collaboration with Pascal Obispo.
* Celine Dion (born 30 March 1968) is a Canadian singer. She is noted for her powerful & technically skilled vocals. Dion is the best-selling Canadian artist & the best-selling French artist of all time.Her music has incorporated genres such as pop, rock, R&B, gospel & classical music.
Born into a large family (she is the youngest of 14 children) from Quebec, she emerged as a teen star in her country during the 1980s. She gained international recognition by winning the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival & the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, where she represented Switzerland. After learning English, in 1990, Dion released her debut English album, Unison. She has also sung in Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Japanese & Mandarin Chinese.
During the 1990s, she achieved worldwide fame after releasing several best-selling albums in history, such as Falling into You & Let's Talk About Love, with over 30 million sales each. She also scored a series of no1 hits, The Power of Love, Think Twice, Because You Loved Me, It's All Coming Back to Me Now, My Heart Will Go On & I'm Your Angel. D'eux became the best-selling French album of all time. A New Day... on Las Vegas, remains the highest-grossing concert residency of all time & the Taking Chances World Tour, one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.
Dion is also one of the best-selling artists of all time, with sales of more than 200 million. Dion is regarded as one of pop music's most successful vocalists. She won 5 Grammys. Billboard named her the Queen of Adult Contemporary for having the most no1 songs for a female artist. Dion is the 2nd best-selling female artist in the US, the 8th all-time best-performing top female artist in the US & the 6th all-time best-performing female soloist in Billboard 200 history. In 2003, she was honored by the IFPI for selling over 50 million albums in Europe.

* At 18, she receded from the spotlight for months, during which she did dental surgery & learned English.
* Celine & Rene married in 1994. In 2000, they renewed their wedding vows.

* After Rene's diagnosis with cancer she took a break in 2000.

* On 14 Jan 2016, Rene died of throat cancer. 2 days later Dion's brother, Daniel, died aged 59, also of cancer.
