The jacket that I'm wearing is the Bisley
BJ6917T cotton drill jacket.
This is the one with the liquid repellent technology.
We'll come back to that in a moment.
The fabric is cotton drill, so that's inherently anti-static.
That's excellent for people working around flammable gas
or for combustible particles like the grain industry or pet
food manufacturing.
It's also great for people working around engineering workshops.
If a spark happens to land on the jacket, it doesn't tend to
burn like a polyester jacket tends to sizzle
and melt from a hot spark.
The jacket is hi-vis. This one's got reflective tape.
It's day/night hi-vis approved.
It's got a flannelette lining, so it's very soft
and warm on the inside.
The cuffs have an elastic fabric in there,
so it tends not to have cold wind blow up the cuffs and
cool you down unnecessarily.
The thing that I like about the jacket though,
is the liquid repellent technology.
Traditionally, a cotton dill jacket is great from the
anti-static perspective and a resistance to hot sparks capacity,
but not great if you walk through a light shower outside.
They're not typically water resistant.
This one, however, has a coating that repels liquid.
I'm going to take it off in a second,
and pour some water on it.
You'll see how the water beads on the jacket.
So I've got a small bottle of water and I'll pour a bit on the fabric.
You can see there that the water, rather than soaking into
the fabric, just beads, and I can move that around there.
So it's not soaking into the fabric.
Great little feature.
Water repellent technology...
The jacket can be logoed with company logos.
Yellow/Navy or Orange/Navy colours.
