Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale briefed the media about the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe. Gokhale called the two world leaders 'old friends' and said that they had a warm meeting. The two will be meeting again along with President of the United States of America, Donald Trump. The trilateral meeting is expected to focus, among other issues, on the Indo-Pacific region. The meetings are taking place on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.
