First Canadian Place presents 50@150 Exhibition: A Moment in Time - A Time to Imagine. Co-creator Alex Park talks about the art pairing of Terry Fox & Ben Johnson.
Terrance Stanley "Terry" Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. In 1980, with one leg having been amputated, he embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
Benjamin Sinclair "Ben" Johnson, is a Jamaican-born Canadian former sprinter, who won two Olympic bronze medals and an Olympic gold medal, which was later rescinded.
Canada 150: In 2017, Canada celebrates 150 years as a Nation. This major exhibition features 50 Canadians who have helped build Canada through their ingenuity, risk-taking and will-power. They are not without controversy or failure, but they do provide us with remarkable stories and examples of great leadership and nation building.
See the exhibition live from June 19 to July 9, 2017.
