💥 De Keyser Wood Industry has released this short video showcasing their expertise in wood and how it was used to bring the ambitious Groene Ark project of NU architectuuratelier to life in the Botanical Garden of Meise in Belgium.
Meise Botanic Garden’s Green Ark will house and protect an important portion of their living collections of endangered plant species from all over the world under glass. This new greenhouse equipped with the latest climate control techniques should lead to a 25% reduction in energy consumption, which is part of the masterplan to reduce the carbon footprint of the Botanic Garden by at least 65% by 2030.
🎬 The project began with a strong vision and thoughtful design, which was then transformed into a tangible realization with the assistance of #Kebony wood.
Driven by a shared commitment to biodiversity conservation and combating deforestation, Kebony is proud to be part of this ambitious project.
Kebony wood, repurposing leftover material unsuitable for cladding and decking, was sawn into shingles for the exterior finish of the wooden observation pavilion of the Green Ark greenhouse complex.
