De Quervain's Tenosynovitis is a painful condition that affects the thumb side of the wrist. The muscles that are affected are the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis. The synovial sheath around the tendons of these muscles become inflammed and is the cause of the pain. This condition affects people that overuse these tendons and the condition is commonly seen in pregnancy. Exercises are a key component to recovery and this video will guide you through an exercise program you can do at home.
