Mucked around with softbody text and a particle emitter. Ground plane/box are glossy materials, text and balls emit materials. Used default cycles materials with different colours and tried to get internal colours to match.
Samples was at 140 per frame for cycles. Some frames didn't render/only used very little samples and I don't know why. That's why it's flickery.
Made in Blender 2.60.6 r42337 from GraphicAll. OpenShot 1.4.0 was used to put rendered videos together.
