We made our way up the narrow gauge into the hills of the Himalayas and found the old British summer capital of India. Used to avoid the heat of the Indian sun, this was a retreat for the government during British colonial rule. Leaving behind a mixture of Indian and British architecture, this is an interesting town to explore. Check out the mall, hanuman temple, bazaar streets and viceregal lodge to see a great mix of Indian history.
