In this video from the Guitar Scales 101 course, Berklee Online instructor Larry Baione demonstrates a phrase that uses the whole tone scale. First, he first plays a chord where the scale would be most applicable—on a dominant augmented 7th chord—then shows different ways to play the phrase with two different fingerings in 6th position.
