I wanted to get this out because it really "grinds my gears" to see the term fascia used as a buzz word among internal martial arts (Taiji, Xingyi, Bagua) instead of furthering education and understanding. It's a quick overview of the composition of fascia and how different types of mechanical stress affect it. in addition, I talk about the elastic property of fascia and why I point out areas of tension and muscle activation in my videos. As always I highly recommend you check out the references I provide since this is not my area of expertise.
