In this farcical dark comedy, a small town is almost driven to civil war when its mayor accepts a statue of Jesus Christ as a gift from the town's church, proudly displaying it in front of his town hall. A political-religious conundrum is stablished between the believers and the younger, nonconformist, citizens of the town. This turmoil proves to be too much for the old mayor, who has a massive heart attack and perishes; forcing a young man, Ernesto Rey, leader of the town council, to step in his shoes. Rey, trying to maintain peace between the majority, and the loud, says he won't get rid of the statue, but would in fact welcome any statue from any faith. Poor Rey didn't think that his words would serve as an invitation for the International Church of Satan to arrive, bringing a statue of the Devil along with them, and disturbing peace beyond repair.
