When a unicorn (Mia Farrow) discovers that the rest of her kind have been banished to the ends of the earth, she sets off on an epic quest to find them. With the help of ineffectual but well-meaning magician Schmendrick (Alan Arkin), the unicorn faces sinister King Haggard (Christopher Lee) to unravel the mystery.
