In the small space of a tiny house, it is important to have the best ventilation (especially when cooking). When installing the range hood that vents to the outside, I needed a way to let fresh air in when it was running and sealed when it was off. Otherwise, it would pull too much air out of the tiny house and create a negative pressure vacuum effect. After several calls to the manufacturers and research, this is how I wired my range hood to my make-up air damper. This allows the damper to automatically open when I turn on the range hood and automatically close when the range hood is turned off.
