Arthur Agee Hoop Dreams: Why Arthur Agee Didn't Make The NBA. Today’s feature is one of the real life hoopers chronicled in a movie called Hoop Dreams, that to me is a top 3 basketball movies of all time and it’s not 2 or 3. It took 7 years to make and was finally released in 1994. It discussed to young players that had the same dream of following the footsteps of local great Isiah Thomas and then city legend Michael Jordan into the NBA. Today we focus on Arthur Agee. A player who after re watching the movie, physically had all the characteristics of a pro player, except the one that altered his career. He even had mannerisms like Micheal Jordan that were crazy to see. Each step of the way he had all the opportunity to go all the way, but because of these reasons, things didn’t go as planned and he never achieved his dreams of becoming an NBA players. What Happened?
