Ecobee says their new ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium could save you up to 26% per year on heating and cooling costs. How? Did you ever leave home and forget to turn the AC up? Yep, we have too. The PREMIUM model includes a sensor that has AI and knows if you’re not home, so it can automatically create a routine to turn the AC up instead of holding at 72 all day. Plus, the premium model includes a SmartSensor – a mini-sensor you can put in your bedroom so it knows where you’re sleeping, so it can adjust the temperature to reduce hot or cold spots to keep you comfortable. Most people don’t sleep next to their main thermostat. That would be a little weird.
This is cool – Ecobee’s Smart Thermostat Premium has a built-in air quality monitor, so you’ll know if your home has poor air quality. And this is brilliant – it can remind you when it’s time to change your air filter. And, of course, you can monitor and control your home’s heat or air conditioning via the app from anywhere in the world.
I mean, it looks svelte! High end materials with a large, beautiful touch-screen interface. And, it even has smart sensors that know when you’re in the room! Love that it has a large backplate to cover all the unpainted holes and mistakes from thermostats past. The app guides you through a very quick installation, which smartly has you take photos of your old set up just in case you need to put it back, like we will in our apartment. It even comes with a power extender kit for systems without a c-wire.
ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium includes built-in smoke alarm detection. Plus, it can send notifications to your phone during sudden temperature spikes or drops that could cause damage, or make your pet uncomfortable.
This even comes with a smart speaker, so it can actually be an additional Alexa or Siri device! Control your home using the power of your voice and listen to your favorite Spotify playlists and podcast through your thermostat’s speaker. Whaaaat!
