A residential placement center in Baicoi, Romania, has opened its doors to 27 children with disabilities and three caregivers who fled the war in Ukraine. The center's staff is learning from the Ukrainian teachers and also benefiting from UNICEF's expertise in supporting children with disabilities as they engage the children in activities. Most of the children, who range from age 5 to 18, have intellectual disabilities. Letitia Musat, the head of the center, shares how the children are doing. "I see improvements in their state, in their behavior and attitude," Musat says.
