Teach English Past Tense verbs and Past tense sentences with this fun ESL classroom game. This ESL Classroom game is the ‘Mystery Box Game’. There are ten questions. Students must answer the questions by making their own sentences using English past tense verbs. Then they will see a ‘Mystery Box’. Students can choose to KEEP the box or GIVE the box to the other team. Inside the mystery box are ‘good points’ (e.g. +1000)or ‘bad points’ (e.g. -1000). At the end of the game, the team with the most points is the winner. This game is great to practice speaking skills as students must make their own sentences using past tense verbs.
