[ Ссылка ] Sales of military aircraft topped the agenda, as Russian President Vladimir Putin met Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
India has agreed to buy dozens of Russian military helicopters worth almost a billion euros. Kremlin sources say India is also buying kits, worth 1.2 billion euros, to assemble 42 Sukhoi fighter jets.
Both leaders were keen to stress the strategic alliance between the two countries, with Singh calling Putin a "valued friend".
The Russian Direct Investment Fund and the State Bank of India will jointly invest 1.5 billion euros to boost trade
Earlier, in a perceived swipe at the West, Putin wrote in Indian newspaper The Hindu that "India and Russia show an example of responsible leadership in the international arena".
