No need to look for your glasses - you read that right! Come meet the co-founder & co-CEO of Warby Parker, Neil Blumenthal (WG ‘10)!
Currently valued at $3 billion, Warby Parker is an online D2C pioneer that revolutionized the glasses market.
Started at Wharton’s Venture Initiation Program (VIP) with a $2,500 seed investment and Venture Lab’s $10,000 Summer Venture Award, Warby Parker has since distributed more than 8 million pairs of glasses under their “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair'' program. Through this program, the glasses distributed thus far will unlock more than $1 billion in earning potential for low-income households.
Before launching Warby Parker, Neil also served as director of the nonprofit social enterprise VisionSpring. Neil currently serves on the board of RxArt and on the United Nations Foundation Global Entrepreneurs Council. He was recognized as a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum and “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Ernst & Young.
