An introduction to Soil Mechanics is shown with phase relations explained and various important Civil and Geotechnical Engineering definitions shown as well as very important derived equations used throughout Geotechnical Engineering. Also it is important to note that the soil column drawn in the video has a width of 1 and thickness of 1 (i.e. unit width and thickness) so the height of the column corresponds to the volume of the column.
