Hi friends,
the waterfall in Yelapa is the most beautiful I have seen in Mexico! The hike is 20km long, which is the reason why you won't see as many people there. In fact, we didn't meet any other people at the waterfall and had the whole place to ourselves! Our guides were amazing and made this trip extra fun and unique, so I can highly recommend you to book this tour!
Yelapa is a little beach town, south of Puerto Vallarta. The best way to get there is to take the boat from Los Muertos beach or to take an Uber to Boca de Tomatlan and then a boat from there. Depending on where you start it should take you about 45-60min to get to Yelapa. You can visit Yelapa on a day trip, but if you decide to do the hike, I recommend booking an accommodation. We stayed at eco huts in the jungle, which was a great experience! Our guide organised the whole trip for us, starting at Puerto Vallarta.
