China has repeatedly urged the Philippines to stop what it calls “malicious hyping and provocation” on territorial disputes in the South China Sea. Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying was responding to Philippine media reports, which say China’s construction on islands violates the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea.
