Greetings! Yesterday I got a PM from a viewer "Silverthreads51" asking me if I had a recipe for a candy that had either soda crackers or graham crackers. I knew exactly what they were referring to. I hope that this is what they remember.

Saltine Cracker Almond Toffee is very easy to make, takes few ingredients and can even be made from food storage. You use brown sugar, vanilla, corn syrup, saltine crackers (all of which I have in my food storage) and butter. You can probably use canned butter with no problem too!

Today we are making this with fresh butter. This recipe is very simple and delicious. It takes a bit of the work out of making toffee and you get a really nice end result to share with family and friends.

Follow these instructions and you are on your way to a great treat. Make sure that you allow this to sit in the fridge for at least 1 hour before trying to break it up. In the video it was late and I wanted to go to bed, so I just broke it up while it was still a bit soft. In the morning the pieces were fine and nice and crisp.
