The Last Yezidi Genocide - by Amy L Beam edited by Ivan Grozny Compasso. On August 3, 2014, the Islamic State terrorists, known in Iraq as Daesh, attacked Shengal, homeland to the ethno-religious non-Muslim people known as Yezidis. 10,000 Yezidis were killed or captured. Men and teenage boys were killed if they refused to convert to Islam. Women and girls were kidnapped and used in sexual slavery. Young boys were sent to jihadi training; some used as suicide bombers. Small children were taken from their mothers and sold to Muslims (like an adoption agency). Elderly women were killed or used as laborers. The United Nations, U.S. and many other countries declared it to be a genocide, yet few countries will open their doors and grant asylum to Yezidis. Warning: This video contains 6 seconds of graphic material at 2:21-2:27. Not appropriate for children. Thank you to all the brave Yezidi witnesses in this documentary and to the Italian journalist Ivan Grozny Compasso who generously edited this documentary. Amy L Beam has followed the Yezidis and their tragic stories since August 2014. She continues to video Yezidi witnesses for the truth to be exposed.
