About Japanese Beetles
Adult Japanese beetles (Popillia japonica) are incessant leaf-eating insects with 1/2-inch long shiny blue/green bodies and bronze-colored wings. Although the feeding seasons of adult Japanese beetles are short – about a few weeks each summer – the destruction they cause can be widespread. They are known to “skeletonize” leaves (eating all but the veins) and chew on the edges of flower blossoms leaving unsightly jagged edges. This is why it’s important to take complete control of these beetles and their grubs, employing multiple solutions at once to get rid of them at all stages of life.
