Hey guys, Jack here again and I’m back with you for another daily shave.
The Soap
Today the soap I used is coming at you from Italy from and artisan called ‘The Goodfellas’ Smile’. The soap is very similar to a lot of other Italian offerings – but most similar to Proraso, in my opinion. The soap loads extremely easily into your brush of choice (likely because of its ‘croap’ like qualities). Once lathered, it has a surprising water tolerance. I feel that the thing this soap really has going for it, is its value for money. For $11.99, you really can’t go wrong with this.
The Brush
This is a great brush; the knot is very soft with a great splay. I feel the knot is set in such a way where it’s a good bowl and face lathering brush. I’ve used it a few times and it’s become one of my go-to synthetic brushes.
The Post-Shave Balm
Like I said in the video, this is my favorite balm. It’s presented incredibly well as it’s in a glass bottle and it’s dispensed through a very controlled nozzle on the cap. The thing I like the most about this balm is its skin absorption qualities. It doesn’t leave a greasy or oily layer on the face like a lot of balms do, it absorbs quickly and leaves your face feeling hydrated for the rest of the day.
Have some great shaves, guys – Peace out!
