★ Ingredients needed:
1 large red cabbage

3 TBSP of butter
4 TBSP of white wine vinegar
1/2 Liter | 2 liquid cups of apple juice
Ground cloves and nutmeg (to your taste)
A few bay leaves
2 TBSP of sugar
★ Instructions:
- Shred your red cabbage into thin strips.
- Peel and dice your apples and onions.
- Melt the butter in a big pot.
- Sauté your apples and onions until fragrant.
- Slowly add cabbage while stirring.
- Add the vinegar and apple juice.
- Add your spices, sugar and bay leaves. Stir to combine.
- Simmer with a lid on for 40min-1 hour. (Check frequently to ensure it doesn't burn and add more apple juice if needed.)
- Take out your bay leaves and transfer to a jar once cooled.
