This is a Barebone Minis Forum NucXi7 mini computer. With No ram and no ssd.
In this video, I’ll do fresh installations of 64GB of ram. That’s 2 x 32GB in both slots.
And put in 2 NVMe SSDs in both Slots with heat sinks. (You’ll see me put on the heat sinks as well). AND fresh installation of Windows 11 Pro. Then update everything including all the drivers, like NVIDIA graphic driver and Intel drivers.
I’ll open up the computer and install everything, the hardware and the software.
It’s a Close-up look and an installation guide.
Front side ports: There are 3 USB 3.2 Type-A, an SDXC card slot, and a 3.5mm Headphone jack
My SSDs are both PCIE gen 4 with up to 7000 Mega Bytes per second Read and 5100 Mega Bytes per second Write. I’ll be testing if that’s true.
The ram memory are 2 of 32GB (total of 64) Memory Kit at 3200 MHz with CL22 not so great Latency but all recommended.
I also have AliExpress cheap priced Heat Sinks for the SSDs which I will install on the SSDs in this video as well. Hopefully they will conduct heat will to help avoid overheating and slowing down.
Inside, you could see the turbocharged fans. Copper tubes (or 5 heat pipes), and Liquid Metal cooling which you can’t see. All help to export cpu and gpu heat.
The SSD slots, according to their website, one slot is run 4th Gen, the other is what? And which is which?
If one can’t run 4th Gen speed, I’d like the other one to be boot-up disk for non-gaming, for Windows and for apps that is not power intense. The one that can run 4th Gen speed, I would like to install games in it and everything gaming.
There’s a label inside Intel KC71F, I did look this up. It’s an Intel NUC X15 Laptop. It’s an Intel product. It has 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (24MB Cache, up to 4.6 GHz, 8 cores). NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 laptop. Pretty much everything just like the NucXi7.
I’m using Samsung Magician to run the SSD speed tests. You may have to use something like “CrystalDiskMark” if you don’t use the same brand as me.
In the Device Manager, you’ll notice that there are system resource conflicts. You’d need to update everything under “Other devices”. You’ll have to go to Minis Forum Support page and download the RAR file.
Since this is an Intel product as mentioned earlier, make sure all the Intel drivers are updated.
