Chow chow poriyal is an easy South Indian recipe made using Chayote squash also called as seemebadane kayi/seema kathrikka, Chayote poriyal/ Chow Chow poriyal is a healthy recipe and is a simple to cook stir fry with chayote squash and grated coconut. Ingredients:
Chow chow -2-3
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 2-3
Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves
Hing - pinch
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut - 4-5 tbsp
Dry red chili - 3-4
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
