World choreographies in the Mahen Theatre!
HIDDEN ORDER / SARABANDE / FALLING ANGELS / GNAWA

Ballet NdB continues to introduce world choreographic personalities to its repertoire in another premiere contemporary evening. Following the first ever showing of works by George Balanchine and Jiří Kylián, we bring to our scene another exceptional international choreographic personality – Nacho Duato. His work, Gnawa, is an impressive show with music typical of the North African region and the adjoining Mediterranean. Gnawa is full of dancing and musical power, sensuous elegance, the organic rhythm of the Mediterranean and plastic and dynamic choreography by Nacho Duato.

The success of Petite Mort guaranteed Ballet NdB a chance to perform other choreographies by the genius Jiří Kylián. During this evening, we shall introduce to you two extraordinary choreographies, Falling Angels and Sarabande. Male and female elements are given space for realization in the masterful compositions of each title. Falling Angels shows female dancers’ ambition for perfection and their subjection to the female psyche in different life situations. On the other hand, Sarabande is a purely male affair. The choreographer, in some respects chauvinistically, views male aggression, vulnerable sensitivity and civility, exploring their sexuality, feelings of worthlessness and importance... and stupidity. This evening will also include one original choreography created specifically for our group - Hidden Order. Its author is Lukáš Timulák, who worked with us on the successful ballet evening Petite Mort.

Světové choreografie v Mahenově divadle!
HIDDEN ORDER / SARABANDE / FALLING ANGELS / GNAWA

V dalším moderním večeru pokračuje Balet NdB v uvádění světových choreografických osobností do svého repertoáru. Po historicky prvním uvedení děl George Balanchina a Jiřího Kyliána, přinášíme na naši scénu další výjimečnou světovou choreografickou osobnost – Nacha Duata. Jeho dílo Gnawa je strhující podívanou podbarvenou hudebním projevem typickým pro severoafrickou oblast a přilehlé Středozemí. Gnawa je tanečně i hudebně plná podmanivé síly, jejíž dravý proud je směsí smyslné elegance, organického rytmu Středozemí a plastické a dynamické choreografie Nacha Duata.

Úspěch Petite Mort zajistil Baletu NdB možnost uvedení dalších choreografií génia Jiřího Kyliána. V tomto večeru vám představujeme dvě výjimečné choreografie, Falling Angels a Sarabande. V mistrovských kompozicích jednotlivých titulů dostane prostor pro realizaci mužský i ženský element. Falling Angels zobrazuje ženy, tanečnice, jejich touhu po dokonalosti a jejich podléhání ženské psyché v různých životních situacích. Naproti tomu Sarabande je čistě mužskou záležitostí. Choreograf v jistém ohledu šovinisticky nahlíží na mužskou agresivitu, zranitelnou citlivost i zdvořilost, zkoumá jejich sexualitu, pocity důležitosti i zbytečnosti a… hlouposti. V tomto večeru uvádíme také jednu původní choreografii vytvořenou speciálně pro náš soubor - Hidden Order. Autorem je Lukáš Timulák, který s námi již spolupracoval na úspěšném baletním večeru Petite Mort.
