Hi, There and Hello, Friends!
Today we delve into the history and traditions of 2 different groups that are heavily featured during Mardi Gras; The Mardi Gras Indians and the North Side Skull & Bones Gang. To non-natives, the traditions of these two groups are not very well known, but they are both such a HUGE part of the culture in this city, that we wanted to share a little of their histories with you and how they're woven into the celebrations of Mardi Gras.
Look, we will have inevitably gotten a few things wrong, and we ENCOURAGE you to leave a comment letting us know. Our goal here is to educate, and if we're saying something that's untrue or we've just omitted something, please let us know.
