I had some extra time on the evening of February 28th, 2023 to see some sites around Vegas. Red Rock Canyon had great reviews so I decided to check it out. It is located about a 30 minute drive West of Vegas. It was off season so I needed to secure a timed entry reservation. I only had 1 hour to explore the area. I managed to get in one short hike and visit all the turnouts on the scenic drive. It was a beautiful area with lots of desert scenes of red and white striped sandstone rock formations covered with dusting of snow! I also saw some deer while driving the loop. I will be back in the future to hike more of the trails that the area has to offer. Enjoy!
