We are augmenting our AI platform to monitor worker safety in the context of Covid-19, in real time by processing video feeds from the site, using deep learning algorithms. The system will monitor for rules in effect within the respective State/County, as well as guidelines set forth by the AGC, such as social or physical distancing. This will enable stakeholders to track compliance on the site, while working remotely.
The system automatically detects people in the camera feed using artificial intelligence. It then estimates the distance between people. When the distance is less than 6-ft (as is recommended by CDC, AGC and other agencies), the system detects this. Customers can set thresholds to trigger alerts based on violation of social distancing guidelines on the site. These alerts can be seen on a web-based dashboard.
In future, the system can be upgraded to automatically detect masks, frequency of sanitizing commonly used areas and more. We’ll roll out some of these features in the coming weeks. Ultimately, our goal is to help make sure that workers return to their families safe at the end of each workday, and not worry about a lapse of judgement from a co-worker.
