In his video, I have explained what is stop loss hunting how you can avoid them. As a forex trader, one of the most tragic moments is when our stop loss is hit and trade goes in the direction of our trade. Why does this happen and is there any way we can avoid them?
Yes, there is a way you can minimize stop-loss hitting. But first, let me explain what is stop loss hunting?
Stoploss hunting is market manipulation to increase the liquidity in the market. As a retail trade, we cannot move the market, but big boys can. So to move the currency market they need liquidity. And your stop loss where they can find liquidity that is the single most reason when banks need to move the price to your stop-loss zone. Then what should you do to avoid market manipulation or stop loss hunting to protect your capital as a retail forex trader? We simply need to place your stop loss where everyone is placing. This is because banks know where your stop-loss is. So I have suggested some techniques in this to apply to avoid stop loss hunting or market manipulation.
1. The first trick is to avoid placing your stop loss in an area of value such as support and resistance or in the trend line. Instead, you need to find the support or resistance zone and then place them according to the formula suggest later in this video
2. The next area to avoid stop loss is in a rejection zone. That means you should place your stop-loss where the price has been rejected aggressively. Because in the rejection zone, the price may retest and hit your stop loss.
3. The last technique is to apply a formula that personally use to avoid stop loss. Which I called “ Zone Limit+Spread+2 pip”
To clarify this formula, you first need to identify the support, resistance, or trend line zone and then, find the limit of this zone and your spread and add 2 more pips for slippage.

This technique can help you to avoid potential stop loss hunting.
