Color is the perception of different wavelengths of light by our vision. Black is the absence of light or all visible wavelengths combined. To our eyes, space looks black because it’s a vacuum with no air to scatter light. However, space is not entirely black. If you combine the light from all the stars, galaxies, and cosmic dust, the universe would have a faint color known as “cosmic latte.” This light comes from the radiance of billions of stars at different stages of their lives. So, even though space seems dark, its true color is a very delicate beige, visible only when all the light is considered together. But due to the vast distances between light sources, space appears pitch black from Earth.
