On the Megalithic Marvels of Egypt tour we began by exploring around the outside the Great Pyramid of Giza. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World & stands approx 450 feet high. Imagine what it would have looked like covered with the white precision casing stones that have since disappeared. Were they taken off by later generations to be used in constructing other buildings or did they fall due to an event that penetrated this pyramid?
