In February of 2014, Pravda.ru reporter Martin Truscott was attached to a platoon of Russian FSB special forces during a counterinsurgency operation in Crimea, that later escalated into an armed flashpoint against NATO coalition forces.
This is the second part in a three-part exclusive series about the aforementioned conflict. Witness the war at the front lines, and the struggle of the Russian troopers as they defend against the most powerful military force in the world.
In part two, the FSB forces deploy in broad daylight, and make first contact with NATO elements.

This is all footage of the Crimean Crisis, a MILSIM hosted by MILSIM West, a military simulation organizer out of Washington and Oregon. This took place at Camp Rilea, near Warrenton, OR.
The second of three parts, this footage chronicles the game as it happened.
A special thanks to the Renegade Russians for letting me hitch a ride, and for Roscoe Leiner and the MSW staff for hosting the game. It was a blast.
