CRETAN NIGHT – TRADITIONAL ACTIVITIES
EVERY THURSDAY
18:00 – 22:30 FROM RETHYMNO

Creta, the biggest island of Greece with rich history and tradition. In that place, the Cretan culture had and continues to have the main role, which is shown through the hospitality, the culture and the tradition.

The characteristic about Cretan life is the entertainment with good company, in tow traditional musical instruments and full of dance as an expression of feelings. So, all together, in a table, we will celebrate and taste the goodies of Cretan land, like “raki” (traditional drink), wine, food, listening to lyra and “laouto” (traditional musical instrument) and company’s “mantinades” (musical declamation (recitative) in form of a narrative or dialogue, sung in the rhythm of accompanying music).

Do you want to live it? Do you want to be everyone one company? Come with us… in an exceptional traditional place (between the most beautiful gorges of the island) where you will feel the Cretan hospitality and love.

Antonis, will welcome you, will buy you a drink, will show you the cheese-making, the sheep’s tonsure, and you will have the chance to see the traditional folklore museum of another period. You will smell the herbs of Cretan land; you will listen to traditional Cretan music and why not you will dance with our swain rhythms.
