What happens when you get two beauty obsessed BFFs in a room? The blindfolded makeup challenge, of course! It’s literally the only time where it’s acceptable to get lipstick on your teeth. Watch makeup artist Claire Howell put her skills to the test on the gorgeous Ashton Wood - ready, get set, BLEND!
So first off, primer. Ashton kindly hands over the makeup and positions Claire’s hands in the right spot. We won’t call it cheating, just a head start. With a deft touch, she applies primer and foundation to Ashton’s face. There’s an excellent moment with Fit Me concealer where she decides Ashton’s under eyes are actually on her cheek, leaving her with a tiny beauty spot.
When it comes to contouring, Claire proves herself something of an expert, applying bronzer and blush with finesse along Ashton’s cheekbones. Highlighter is a bit of a hit and miss… although really, it’s hard to go wrong with Master Chrome megawatt shine. For eyeshadow, she nails the transition shade but goes off the rails smoking it out!
Finally, she smears a thick coat of Vivid Hot Lacquer onto her lips (and skin).
In conclusion, it could’ve been way worse. But let’s be real, although it’s far less entertaining, makeup is best applied without a blindfold.
