(16 Feb 2019) Friends and family bid farewell to Argentine footballer Emiliano Sala's on Saturday, during a ceremony in his hometown of Progreso
Emiliano Sala's father and brother carried his coffin into a funeral home ahead of his cremation.
Cardiff city officials Neil Warnock and Ken Choo were present.
Friend and former teammate from the French club Nantes, Nicolas Pallois was seen consoling Sala's mother Mercedes Taffarel.
Sala died in a plane crash in the English Channel last month when flying from Nantes in France to start his new career with English Premier League club Cardiff City.
