Hey everyone, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Fit Towing Mirrors here on a 2020 Toyota Tundra. Now let's show you how well they really work. So, I'm just standing directly beside the trailer here. You can see I'm easily visible in the factory mirror, so not a problem. Where the problem arises is, if I step out a couple feet here sort of mirroring your blind spot, let's say we're traveling out on the highway, we need to get over to get our exit but we really can't see what's going on in the other lane beside our trailer. So these are where these towing mirrors, in my opinion at least, really come into play the most.
'cause if I step out a couple feet to my right here which is gonna pretty much simulate that traffic coming up on us. You can see I lose focus in the factory mirrors, but now I come into picture in our aftermarket towing mirrors. So these towing mirrors here are gonna be an excellent option if you find yourself to be frequently towing a trailer. Now, what they boil down to is these are gonna allow us a greater visibility of our trailer and what's around it. And if you ask me, it's just gonna help you feel more comfortable when you're driving out on the road.
These things really do wonders to help you sort of get a better view of your blind spot that way you're not cutting someone off on the highway potentially causing a collision. Now with our mirrors here, we're gonna get one for each side, obviously and a little handy carrying case here so we can store them in. Keep them nice and protected when we're not using them whether that be in the vehicle or at our garage at home. So this is what it looks like with our towing mirrors installed. And if you ask me, this really looks perfect on this truck.
You really can't even tell that you have anything aftermarket on your side mirrors. They're obviously a little bit longer but these mirrors do a great job of not only matching the texture and finish of the factory side mirrors and the little mounting brackets here, but the shape of it contours very nicely. Even these little body lines here. They're all gonna mimic the factory paneling here, so it makes very OEM like look. So just touching a bit more on the finish, they are made out of plastic and they do sort of have that textured feel to them.
I believe this is an ABS plastic which is actually what they use on the factory side mirrors as well. So it's gonna be an exact match. And if we take a look at the actual mirror face here you can see it's nice and large and they actually contour it to the shape of our factory mirror here. So they're really not wasting any surface area whatsoever. Now this is a flat plain mirror face and it's on a ball and socket joint. So it's easy to adjust. I like to just stick my fingers in the corner here that way you're not putting smudges on the mirror face there. And it's very easy to adjust for your perfect viewing angle. And it's a nice wide mirror here so we can really see what's going on behind us. So also with these aftermarket towing mirrors, you're not gonna be impeding any of the function of your factory mirrors. As you can see here, the breakaway feature is still fully operational here and there's no contact whatsoever with the vehicle. Now although this particular truck here, doesn't have the additional mirror features such as the puddle lamp, you can see there's actually a cutout in the towing mirror here. So if you do have those features you're not gonna lose them. It's gonna work perfectly with them and they're gonna allow you to retain those features. So the first step of your installation we're gonna focus on our side mirrors here. Now, depending on what type of side mirror you have, I just have the standard ABS plastic one here. So, probably don't need to worry too much about cleaning all the dirt and debris off there. But if you have a nice Chrome cap or if you have a painted side mirror, that's when you'd want to take a little bit more time and make sure they're nice and clean before we slide our towing mirrors on. And the reason we're doing that is, we don't wanna scratch the factory mirrors especially if they're painted. Now with that being said, there are felt pads on the inside of our towing mirrors here. So they're not going to scratch it but, we wanna make sure that we're doing everything possible to minimize those chances. Now with that being said, we're ready to go ahead and slide on our mirrors now. So there's two towing mirrors in your kit here. They are side specific. They are not labeled but it's really only going
