Hi Dr Suresh My fried has been advised CAR T Cell therapy as treatment of Lung cancer ! Could you please tell me what it is?

CAR-T cell Therapy or Adoptive cell therapy is still evolving. There are lot of trials going on , but it is still in the clinical trial phase. As of today CAR-T cell / Adoptive cell therapy is used only in clinical trials, they are not used in routine management. Main concern in CAR-T cell therapy is toxicity is very well managed by advanced techniques. CAR-T cell / Adoptive cell therapy is used in treating Lung cancer and it is still in clinical trials. It is used in very advanced lung cancer. So CAR-T cell / Adoptive cell therapy, it is used only in clinical trials an d not use din routine management.
