How dangerous is NYC right now? You may have seen reports of dangerous crimes or seen horror stories on social media but is that an anomaly or a common day occurrence? In this video, you’ll get a full report of how dangerous NYC is based on actual data - not on sensationalized news stories.

Most of the stories of crime relate directly to the subway and overall, looking at the data does show that transit crimes are up 28% compared to this time last year. This doesn’t look good for New Yorkers and I will admit that there have been times that I have felt nervous or uncomfortable on the subway. However, I have not felt unsafe or in danger so much that I don’t choose to use it - and this seems to be the general consensus among New Yorkers, as well. The reason is that although crime is up, it is nowhere near as bad as it was in the past.
