Yamko Rambe Yamko is one of the most popular folk songs in Papua. This song is about a past war that Papua has been through, and emphasizes patriotism. Yamko Rambe Yamko has a soloist who represents someone willing to be "the flower of the nation" or someone willing to give up everything to defend their country, specifically from imperialists. The movement that high school choir Cantus Certus performed is a traditional Indonesian group dance, and is necessary to capture the unique culture behind this piece.
The audience was very excited to hear this song, and actually applauded in the middle of it. This cut off part of the soloist's call. Nonetheless, a great performance.
