This famous and delicious yong tau fu restaurant in Puchong, simply "Puchong Yong Tau Fu, is easily spotted as it's located at No. 105, Kampung Baru, Jalan Tembusu, Batu 14, Puchong, 47100, Puchong, Selangor, just opposite SK Puchong Batu school. This place is almost legendary to the locals and the tourists alike. Unassuming and unpretentious, this Puchong Yong Tau Fu restaurant is the epitome of street food with its vibrant or noisy atmosphere, a brightly-lit environment that's half al fresco. The place is without any designated entrance doors,a shack-like structures covered by the zinc roofs. The yong tau fu here is daily fresh made on-the-spot. Customers choose the items like brinjals, ladyfingers (okra), chili and the cook will stuff them with meat after that. If you are here, the one thing you must definitely try is the deep fried tofu (tofu pok) sandwiched with pork meat. The soup is far from bland, and the abundance of sayur manis (sweet leaves/star gooseberry) usually thrown into a bowl of pan mee adds fibres, textures and sweetness to the wholesome broth.
Aside from serving their signature Yong Tau Fu with rice or noodles, you can also opt for the Chee Cheong Fun, or Pan Mee. The other side dishes offered are the curry chicken, rendang chicken and paper-wrapped chicken. The paper-wrapped chicken is fascinating and different, in the sense that the steamed chicken is draped lusciously in a slightly saltish, and piquant gravy which is not your idea of the usual Paper-Wrapped Chicken (Zhi Pau Gai) you can easily find at the night markets.
