At over 40 years old, this vintage Franklin OM cutaway is our oldest guitar on offer currently.
Nick Kukich’s OMC design, which offers a shallow body depth with a deeper cutaway to provide greater upper-fret access, is a perfect instrument for the player who is looking for an OM body shape but with a shallower body.
This 1981 Franklin OMC has an Adirondack spruce top with stunning straight-grained Brazilian rosewood back and sides.
The guitar features Style-45 inspired fretboard inlays, adding a touch of elegance to its aesthetic. The nut width of 1 5/8" and scale length of 25 3/8" ensure a precise and comfortable playing experience, with the 2 5/16" string spacing ideal for both strumming and intricate fingerstyle playing.
The guitar has recently received upgraded Gotoh 510 tuners with brass buttons, and undergone some scalloping to the braces by a professional luthier to further enhance its resonance and response.
Although it comes with a non-original TKL hardshell case, the case is in as-new condition, providing excellent protection for this exquisite instrument.
