But for the country's millions of poor, that's a challenge. India's financial capital of Mumbai is home to 20 million people, and millions of them live in overcrowded slums. Many family members are crowded into tiny spaces and hundreds of homes are crammed in narrow lanes. There's also poor sanitation in these areas, which often rely on communal facilities, including restricted access to water supplies.
